The coffee cherries are carefully picked and processed into parchment coffee by the farmers, followed by a strict quality control carried by their cooperative. The coops encourage quality improvements via a premium scheme rewarding physical and sensory characteristics. The parchment coffee is then delivered to BECAMO’s dry mill facility in Tapachula, Chiapas.
Exporting Organically Grown coffee implies a very close partnership with the producers. Hence, our sister export company BECAMO supports and accompanies the cooperatives throughout the year, providing services such as pre-financing, agriculture and commercial consulting and up-to-date requirements to maintain the organic certification.
