The Australian Department of Agriculture have a specific set of requirements to allow samples in the country. Unless thoroughly followed, parcels will be returned to the sender.

 

1- Phytosanitary certificate with additional note:

Phytosanitary certificates MUST include the additional declaration :

“Representative samples were inspected and found free from evidence of any species of Trogoderma (whether live, dead or exuviae) in Australia’s list of Trogoderma species of biosecurity concern.”

Please note that phytosanitary certificates need to be dated, signed AND stamped. Any one of these three missing will result in rejection from Australian Customs. 

 

2- Mandatory digital phytosanitary certificate to be emailed to selected courier:

A digital copy of the phytosanitary certificate must be emailed by the shipper to the courier that has been used to carry the sample parcels.

A) DHL :

  • Email a digital copy of the document directly to their AQIS team email at sydgtwaqis@dhl.com
  • Cc rudy.huemer@nkg.coffee and iaca.traffic@nkg.coffee
  • In subject of the email: write the AWB number and the key words –“pre-alert” or “pre-clearance”. So that their AQIS team can pre-lodge the document to Quarantine for clearance purpose.
  • In the body of the email, write our purchase contract number, or state “Type sample” if not tied to a contract.

B) FedEx :

  • Email a digital copy of the document directly to their clearance team email at aucdndoc@fedex.com
  • Cc rudy.huemer@nkg.coffee and iaca.traffic@nkg.coffee
  • In subject of the email: write the FedEx tracking number and the key words –“pre-alert” or “pre-clearance”. So that their clearance team can pre-lodge the document to Quarantine for clearance purpose.
  • In the body of the email, write our purchase contract number, or state “Type sample” if not tied to a contract.
